Iced Coffee Recipes
Iced Coffee Recipes have become very popular during spring and summer, especially when the temperatures start to soar. We have five terrific recipes for you to try, some from the extended family members and friends and some sent in by visitors to the website.
We haven't tried them all but they sure look great on paper. Why not have a go at one or two and test them out: remember to taste and adapt for your own particular requirements. Try one of our wonderful iced coffee recipes today.
Five Iced Coffee Recipes1...Easy Iced Cafe Au LaitIngredients:
* 2 1/4 c Cold freshly brewed coffee
* 2 c Milk
* 2 c Crushed ice
* Sugar (optional)Preparation:
Add sugar and continue blending until frothy.
Pour over ice.2...Iced Cinnamon CoffeeIngredients:
* 4 c Strong coffee (use 2 to 4 teaspoons of instant to 1 cup of Boiling water)
* 1/3 stick cinnamon, broken in pieces
* 1/2 c Heavy cream
* Coffee syrupPreparation:
Pour hot coffee over cinnamon pieces; cover and let stand about 1 hour.
Remove cinnamon and stir in cream.
To serve, pour into ice filled glasses.
Stir in desired amount of Coffee Syrup.
If desired, top with sweetened whipped cream and sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
Use cinnamon sticks and stirrers.3...Iced Mocha CappuccinoIngredients:
* 1 tb Chocolate syrup
* 1 c Hot double espresso or very strong coffee
* 1/4 c Half-and-half
* 4 Ice cubesPreparation:
Stir the chocolate syrup into the hot coffee until melted.
In a blender, combine the coffee with the half-and-half and the ice cubes.
Blend at high speed for 2 to 3 minutes.
Serve immediately in a tall, cold glass.
This recipe yields 1 serving.4...Iced Mocha-cchinoIngredients:
* 1/2 c Brewed espresso, chilled
* 6 tb Chocolate syrup
* 1 tb Sugar
* 1/2 c Milk
* 1 c Vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt
* 1/4 c Heavy cream, softly whippedPreparation:
Cinnamon, chocolate curls or cocoa powder for garnish
Place the espresso, chocolate syrup, sugar and milk in a blender, and blend tocombine the ingredients.
Add the ice cream or yogurt, and blend until smooth.
Pour mixture into two chilled glasses, and top each with whipped cream andchocolate curls or a dusting of the cinnamon or cocoa.5...Cafe Au CinIngredients:
* 1 c Cold strong French roast coffee
* 2 tb Granulated sugar
* dessert spoons Cinnamon
* 2 oz Tawny port
* 1/2 ts Grated orange peelPreparation:
Combine and mix in a blender at high speed.
Pour into chilled wine glasses.

Those five recipes certainly cover the whole spectrum: from the basic iced version to the more complicated “Tawney Port and Orange Peel” variety.
