Hot Cocoa Recipe
Hot Cocoa Recipe that you are going to love.
You should try this recipe from my friend Marie if you want a hot cocoa recipe that tastes delicious and is good for you at the same time. Is there such a thing as healthy hot chocolate/cocoa?
Yes there is and you need to try it yourself. Have a close look and try our very special hot cocoa recipe in your home.
Marie had this to say:
"We've been revamping all of our favorite recipes to make them as healthy as possible. The munchkins are thrilled that we found a way to keep hot cocoa in our diets...especially on these cold snow-play days!"
You know if the children like it, it has to be good!
Your Cocoa Ingredients
Two things to note
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup raw honey
- 1/3 cup water
- 4 cups milk
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla
: Marie said they started with 1/2 cup of raw honey, but she plans to reduce that amount gradually.
Also, she says that raw goat's milk or cow's milk are the healthiest milk options, but if those aren't available to you, try to use organic, antibiotic and growth-hormone-free milk from the dairy case.
How To Make Your Hot Cocoa
In a saucepan, mix cocoa, salt, honey and water.
Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture boils; boil and stir 2 minutes.
Stir in milk and heat. DO NOT BOIL.
Remove from heat; add vanilla.
