Brownie Pie for the whole family. If you and your family love brownies, this will be a real crowd pleaser and it is so quick and easy to make, especially when you use your own fresh ingredients. Home cooking at its best.
It can be served cold or at room temperature, or better yet, warm from the oven. Serve it a la mode with your favorite flavor of ice cream or toss a dollop of whipped cream on top...my particular favorite Brownie Pie topping.
Served with fresh coffee for the adults and ice-cold milk for the children, this pie melts in your mouth and more than satisfies your chocolate cravings.
Brownie Pie Ingredients
- ¾ cup all purpose flour
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
- 1¼ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup salted butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- ¾ brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
- ¼ cup semisweet chocolate chips
How To Make Brownie Pie
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Grease a 10-inch deep dish pie plate and set it aside.
Mix together the flour, cocoa, and baking powder in a small bowl.
In a (separate) mixing bowl, beat together the melted butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Once the batter is well blended, add one egg at a time to the batter. Add the vanilla and mix on low speed until it’s well blended.
To the batter, add the dry ingredients slowly until the batter is mixed well. The batter won’t be really thick, but not thin either.
Spread the batter into your prepared deep pie dish. Don’t try to use a standard size pie dish or else the batter will spill out over the sides and make a royal mess. (Trust me, I know!)
Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes. Every oven is different, so you may want to check it at 35 minutes. The pie should be somewhat firm to the touch. Remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool on a rack.
Once the pie is cool, place it in the refrigerator until it has set.
It can be served warm or cold. Either way, it’s delicious!
