Can you make white chocolate mousse with just two ingredients
Absolutely! I made this over the holidays and took some to the people working at my local library and it received rave reviews. The recipe is actually from the inside of a Baker's White Chocolate
It takes a little bit of time to whip the cream into soft peaks, but the results are well worth the time.
It took roughly 12 to 13 minutes for my Kitchen Aid mixer to turn whipping cream into soft peaks. I just busied myself with other kitchen duties and before I knew it, the peaks had formed!
Finished mousse must chill for 2 hours before serving.
Your Basic Ingredients
- 1 package (6 squares) Baker's White Chocolate
- 1 1/2 cups whipping cream divided into two equal parts.
The White Mousse Recipe
Microwave white chocolate squares and 1/4 cup whipping cream in large microwaveable bowl on High for 2 minutes.
Stir after 1 minute.
Continue heating until the chocolate is almost melted. Stir it to make sure it melts completely.
There's nothing worse than burned chocolate, so watch it carefully.
Cool the melted white chocolate completely, stirring occasionally so it doesn't turn into a hard brick.
In a chilled bowl, beat the remaining whipping cream with a mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form.
Don't allow it to mix past the point that the peaks form.
Add half of the whipped cream to the melted chocolate and stir with a whisk until it's blended well.
Whisk in the remaining whipped cream and then refrigerate for 2 hours.
Yield: 6 servings
